Valeria LoCurto.
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, she arrived in Milan in 2019, returning to the country where her parents were once born, who, forced to leave post-war Italy, chose to go to the South American continent. Together with her husband and two children, she settled in the Lombardy capital after living in Colombia and the United Kingdom. Despite having a degree in Communication Sciences, she has always had a passion for design and fashion, which has been very useful in developing the Legado project, which aims to bring Latin American fabrics and accessories to Europe. In fact, it is Valeria who selects each of the pieces that are exhibited in the store. Valeria believes that Milan is the ideal context to welcome the handmade of her native continent.
Giancarlo Votta.
Son of an Italian father and a Venezuelan mother, born in Caracas. He decided to bring his family to Italy, a country he had always admired since his childhood. In Milan he had an idea that allowed him to unite, in some way, his two continents of origin: this idea was then called Legado, a project that aims to represent Latin American cultures through the high-quality craftsmanship that they are capable of producing in that splendid continent, preserving the most ancient techniques inherited from its first inhabitants.
Even though his father had left Italy during the post-war period, Giancarlo had the opportunity to visit it very often, especially the city of Milan. It was therefore a natural choice to move, together with his wife and children, to the capital of Lombardy.
A civil engineer, in addition to Legado, Giancarlo also deals with real estate investments and business management.
